A lasagna with Mexican flare

Stacked Tortilla Chili Lasagna

  • 4 soft medium flour tortillas
  • 454g lean ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 package Jalapeño Cheese Spread
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. In a medium non-stick pan, heat the olive oil and brown the ground beef.
  3. Once cooked through, add in the taco seasoning and the water and continue cooking for two to three minutes, until the liquid is mostly evaporated.
  4. Mix in the salsa and set mixture aside.
  5. On a parchment lined baking sheet, place a tortilla at the bottom of the cake pan, and spread 1/4 of the cheese spread and 1/3 of the beef mixture. Top with a second tortilla and repeat finishing with the 4th tortilla.
  6. Spread the remaining cheese on the top layer.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve.
