Favourite Mega Sandwich (Illustration)

A sandwich that can fill a mega appetite.

Mega Sandwich

Ingredients
  • 1 large round Italian loaf
  • ¼ cup dijonnaise creamy mustard blend
  • 3 cups lettuce, coarsely shredded
  • 1 pkg sliced meat (any variety)
  • 6 Black Diamond Cheddar Slices
  • 2 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 can or jar roasted red peppers, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup black or green olives, chopped
  • 2 pickles, sliced
Preparation
  1. Cut the loaf of bread horizontally with 2/3 on the bottom and 1/3 on top. Hollow out the bottom, leaving a crusty ¾” thick shell.
  2. Spread dijonnaise across the interior of the loaf, then line with lettuce, sliced meat, Black Diamond Cheddar Slices, tomato, onion, red pepper, olives, pickles, and top off with top of bread.
  3. Press firmly and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least one hour or overnight.
  4. When ready to consume, cut loaf in wedges and serve with extra dijonnaise on the side.
