¼ cup Lactantia butter or margarine or Parkay* margarine, cold
1-2 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
1 cup Black Diamond Shredded Sharp Cheddar
1¼ cups Beatrice buttermilk
Preheat oven to 425°F.
In bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cayenne. Cut in butter or margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in jalapenos and Black Diamond Shredded Sharp Cheddar. Add buttermilk and stir with a fork just until blended.
Drop dough by ¼ measures into 9” greased springform pan, pushing mounds together. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
Let cool for about 5 minutes on rack before removing sides of pan. Serve warm.
